Background

In 1997, I decided to create Waverly Records to share the original words and music of songs I have written over the past twenty plus years.

The first album, "A New Age Christmas!" contains some traditional holiday favorites and some originals from the 1970's - 1980's. Each track was fully scored and produced by myself.

Later, in 1999, I compiled some earlier ballads updating the orchestrations for a storybook album, "Shadows of the Heart," with a mellow flavor. Some cuts with dual parts outlined by various string section orchestrations for a melodic sound.

For the holiday season, 2001 brought to the label my first vocal release, "I'd Love To Share Christmas With You!" about a possible holiday romance evolving around a horse and buggy ride through Central Park in New York City. There was also an instrumental release as well.

In 2004, continuing with the genre of ballads, "Remember Me, Too" was produced with another compilation of a new age range of instrumentals with a more creative mix of woodwinds and horns.

The holiday season returns with a third album with more new originals and a few traditional tracks, "I Know It's Christmas!" released in late 2007. This album presents more clarinets and flutes with a harmony of cellos and brass.

With the current album, released in 2012, "Studio Sessions," revisits the studio recordings with musicians playing their various instruments completing a wide range of vocals and instrumentals of my originals from the 1970's through today.

There is one Christmas song, "For Those Who Need Homes This Christmas!" which I wrote in 1983 for those individuals I could relate to. The original studio vocal version was released the the "Studio Sessions" album.

When I first came to New York, after having to relocate after a friend moved to a new job across the country, I found myself sleeping on the Staten Island Ferry in the summer of 1980, before receiving a helping hand from another friend who gave me a home until I could find and afford one myself.
